ProMedica Celebrates Grand Opening of Ebeid Institute's Market on the Green
On December 9th, ProMedica celebrated the grand opening of Market on the Green at the ProMedica Ebeid Institute.
Market on the Green is a full service grocery store located in the UpTown neighborhood of Toledo, but it will also serve the Old West End and Downtown Business District.
The market specializes in fresh, local produce and foods, including fresh meat, dairy, locally baked breads and baked goods, and frozen foods. Everyday necessities, from toiletries to pet food, will also be available. The market is also proud to support local, with fresh produce from Toledo’s Sam Okun Produce Company, Amish-made goods from Walnut Creek Foods, and coffee from Flying Rhino Coffee & Chocolate.
This market is an exciting addition to the downtown area as it serves residents who have traditionally not had readily accessible sources of fresh produce and other healthy products.
Made possible through the generosity of Mr. Russell Ebeid, the Institute is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the community by increasing access to healthy food, delivering nutrition education and providing job training opportunities.
Market on the Green will be open daily from 8am to 7pm and Sunday from 11am to 5 pm. The store is located at the corner of 14th Street and Madison Avenue.
