Toledo Chamber to Host 2018 Summer in the City Program

The Summer in the City Program, presented by Owens Corning and Dana, will officially welcome over 300 interns to the Toledo Region this summer. The program, created in 2015 by the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, showcases area businesses and attractions to interns from around the country.

There will be a series of six fun events at locations throughout Toledo, including socials at a Toledo Mudhens baseball game, the recently renovated Renaissance Hotel, and at a concert in Promenade Park along the Maumee River. Interns will also have the opportunity to volunteer locally, enjoy watching the LPGA Marathon Classic Golf Tournament, and participate in a downtown scavenger hunt organized by EPIC Toledo.

This year, there will also be a skills series, which will provide interns with six unique opportunities for professional development presented by young leaders in the Toledo Region. Topics include LinkedIn and interviewing tips, professional advancement, developing a personal brand and more.

The 2018 program will run through June and July and offers interns an opportunity to experience both the quality of life and business sides of Toledo.
