2021 Year In Review Magazine

After 2020, a year of distance, virtual meetings and staying home, the Toledo Region defined 2021 with opportunity. We reconnected with everything we love about the region: the people who give it meaning, the events that make it vibrant and the places that ground us. After a year of uncertainty, we didn’t let a moment go to waste.

Throughout the Toledo Region, we celebrated the simple act of gathering together, whether at Fifth Third Field for a Toledo Mud Hens game or meeting friends for a drink in the new DORAs across the region.

In a year where nothing was certain, we proved we could make it work. After being unsure whether spectators would be welcome at the 2021 Solheim Cup, we instead drew record-breaking crowds to the Toledo Region. The VProject united hundreds of leaders across government, health care, education, nonprofit, religious and various industries with the goal to get our region vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
