Get Fresh at Toledo Farmers' Markets
As the farm to table movement grows, so do the Farmers' Market offerings in Toledo.
What used to be a well kept secret in downtown has grown into multiple markets throughout the region with hundreds of people attending each week.
On a recent trip to the Downtown Toledo Farmers' Market, visitors were shopping for fresh sweet corn, seasonal melons, flowers, and even baked goods.
The Downtown Market, which is open Saturdays year round, boasts around 60 vendors depending on the weekend and crop haul. There is a main market plus a poultry house for eggs and more.
On Wednesdays in April through October, the Downtown Market takes their show on the road to the Westgate shopping area on Secor.
But these aren't the only markets in the area. There are another 20+ markets that take place throughout the region.
