Ottawa Hills has Best Ohio School District and 5th Best Ohio High School
Ottawa Hills continues to lead the region in academic excellence with having both a top-ranked high school and district in the state.
U.S. News and Report ranked Ottawa Hills the fifth best high school in Ohio, based on: students meeting or passing district expectations, under-served students’ performance, student graduation rates and students’ college-readiness.
Ottawa Hills also received a Gold Medal standing. Only the top 500 (2%) schools in the nation receive this annual distinction.
Not only did the high school receive recognition, but the district as a whole was named the Best School District in Ohio by 24/7 Wall Street. This recognition was based on various factors including measuring preschool enrollment, AP-classes enrollment, graduation rate, child poverty, per-pupil spending, teacher-per-student ratio and percentage of adults with a bachelor’s degree.
