Toledo Ranks High in Work-Life Balance Study

In today's bustling economy, it can be difficult to find the perfect balance between work and play. Higher paying jobs usually equate to long hours which affects the amount of time available for fun and entertainment. SmartAsset combed through data on employment, housing affordability and lifestyle to rate cities with the best work-life balance.

They used the 100 largest cities in the country and compared them across 10 metrics including concentration of entertainment establishments, bars and restaurants, housing costs, home values, average weeks worked, average hours worked, average commute times, percent with long commutes, unemployment rate, and labor force participation rate. 

Based on the data, Toledo is ranked 2nd in Ohio and 15th in the nation for Cities with the Best Work-Life Balance. 

Toledo also ties for 3rd in the overall list for Restaurant Density which rates the number of restaurants as a percent of all establishments.
